Bush ballin

In case you didn’t already know, President Bush is a baller. His most recent baller excursion was to watch China and USA men’s Olympic teams on Sunday night. The result? USA won 101-70.

Though I’m boycotting the Olympics and am pretty depressed about the astronomical ratings it’s getting (must be those 1.3 billion Chinese), some pretty entertaining things went down at the basketball game. Here are some quotes from an AP article on the Huffington Post:

The president also took in the U.S.-China men’s basketball game, one of the hottest tickets. Before the contest, he huddled with U.S. players in a corridor of the Olympic arena, putting his hand in with theirs and joining in a cheer, “One, two, three, U.S.A, go!”

The Bush family posed for pictures with LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and other NBA stars. Spying Bush’s father, James sidled up to say, “What’s up pops?”

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find out what Bush the 41st said back, but I’d bet it was something along the lines of “chillin’.” At the very end of the Huffington Post article, you can see a summary of the game and a clip of the Bush huddle.

P.S. Best charity event ever? Bush vs. Obama basketball game. That could be cathartic.

For those of you who care about the game itself, here’s a SportsCenter recap:
